Short-oval banger racing
Like the paved speedway, a banger oval is about momentum and pack management more than braking — but on dirt, so the car moves around underneath you and the line drifts wider as the surface cuts up over a race. Hold a tidy line, protect your momentum through the two main corners, and accept that you will be leaned on constantly.
The figure-eight layout adds a crossover where traffic meets head-on. On a loose surface that crossing is even twitchier than on tarmac, because a car arriving sideways has less control over exactly where it ends up. Time it with margin — commit early or lift early, never dither in the middle.
